Squatter In The Empire State Building?

Forget ripped from the headlines, Property Prof Blog has an interesting post Squatter In The Empire State Building about a dispute that appears to have been ripped from a first-year property exam.  The owners of the Empire State Building are locked in a battle with an illegal tenant (actually the informal sub-tenant of an illegal sub-tenant of the original tenant) who has refused to leave the property even after the tenant and sub-tenant did so after the owner initiated eviction proceedings.  Coverage from the New York Times article At Empire State Building, a 40th Floor Squatter includes a description of the squatter's space as a "desk and chair tucked into a little alcove near the break room."  Perhaps not surprisingly, the would be squatter is a lawyer.
