NPR ran an interesting article called All-American Streetcar Boom Fuels Urban Future this weekend about the rebirth of the streetcar as a solution for urban transportation problems. With all of the talk of high-speed rail and other futuristic options to improve transportation in big cities, the story explores a decidedly 19th century approach that many cities are adopting.
